Diversity & Inclusion events in August
We hope you enjoyed some of the events put on for Disability Pride Month. Chloe Tear’s talk at the coffee morning was interesting and insightful, and inspired many people to find a few ways they can be more inclusive to those with disabilities.
It’s South Asian Heritage Month (SAHM) until the 17 August, and 2025’s theme is “Roots to Routes: exploring the rich journey of growth, and the evolving connections we make through generations.” You can get involved with the online SAHM Quiz on the 7 August at 2pm – email Seema.Bhogal@anchor.org.uk for the link!
We’re also extending an invitation to join Anchor for Bradford Pride on Saturday 30 August. As Bradford is the City of Culture this year, Anchor will have a stall at City Park, so please drop by to enjoy the acts and say hello.
Upcoming dates:
- Friday 18 July – Sunday 17 August – South Asian Heritage Month
- Saturday 9 August – International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples
- Tuesday 12 August – International Youth Day
- Saturday 30 August – Grief Awareness Day
- Saturday 30 August – Anchor attending Bradford Pride
