Are you eligible for free mobile data?
The National Databank is a program that provides free mobile data to individuals that struggle with data poverty.
Data poverty applies to people who cannot afford enough mobile or broadband data for essential needs. A lack of access can lead to isolation and exclusion, making it harder to access services, education, and employment.
How does it work?
Good Things Foundation has partnered with Anchor as a Digital Inclusion Hub to help people get online. Eligible individuals will receive free SIM cards with preloaded data.
Participating mobile network operators, including Vodafone, Three, and O2, support the initiative.
Recipients will receive a monthly data allowance, usually with unlimited calls and texts, for a set time period.
Access to the internet is increasingly vital for everyday life, making data poverty a significant barrier. By connecting people, it helps them participate more fully in society and access opportunities.
