Amanda Holgate named interim CEO after Sarah Jones steps down

After three years as CEO of Anchor, Sarah Jones has decided to step down and has left the business today.

Anchor Chair Christopher Kemball said:

The Board would like to record its thanks to Sarah for her hard work and commitment as CEO in what have been difficult times for the housing and care sectors as well as her contribution as CFO for the previous six years. We wish her well for the future.

The Board has appointed Amanda Holgate, our current CFO, as interim CEO while we conduct a formal search for a permanent CEO, and we remain committed to our long-term strategic direction.

Amanda joined Anchor in February 2023 and joined the Anchor Board in May 2023. She has worked in the housing sector for ten years, first as Deputy Finance Director at Family Mosaic and then as Director, Finance Services at Peabody.
 
Prior to joining Anchor, she was CFO of Southern Housing Group. Amanda also has more than 20 years’ financial and commercial experience in a range of sectors including financial services, technology and retail asset management.
 
Amanda is a Board Trustee and the Chair of Audit and Risk Committee at Centrepoint, a youth homelessness charity.
 
Amanda is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
